Pastoral Counseling
America is currently experiencing a mental health crisis. In the past, the church has done very little to address this problem. For the past 15-20 years, the status of mental health in America has drastically declined, especially following the post-Covid season. While the church has not appropriately addressed these mental health struggles, The Rev. Dr. Brian S. McGee offers his life and ministry to being a conduit through which God’s healing grace and mercy transforms people’s lives, in and outside the church.
Strengthening his call to Word and Sacrament ministry in Christ’s Church, Rev. Dr. McGee is a licensed and credentialed pastoral counselor in the National Christian Counselor Association (NCCA). He utilizes a tool called The Arno Profile System, a clinical diagnostic tool created by Drs. Richard and Phyllis Arno that is widely used by the National Christian Counselors Association (NCCA) to assess a person’s God-given temperament. This diagnostic tool, alongside the Holy Scriptures and the power, person and work of the Holy Spirit, equip Rev. Dr. McGee in his pastoral counseling.
Each pastoral counseling session is held at the highest level of confidentiality and can be in-person or online (Zoom, FaceTime, Skype etc.) Pastoral counseling is a ministry of Groveport Zion Lutheran Church, the community of faith where Brian serves as Senior Pastor.
