About Brian

Brian was born and raised in Lancaster, Ohio. He attended the University of North Texas from 2001-2004 and graduated from Ohio University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Percussion Performance. Later that year, Brian’s life was forever changed when the Holy Spirit brought him to faith in Jesus.

In 2010, Brian graduated with a Master of Divinity degree from Regent University. In preparation to receive his call to Word and Sacrament ministry in the North American Lutheran Church, Brian taught music in both the public and private schools. Brian was ordained on July 24, 2016 at St. John Lutheran Church in Greenville, Ohio, where he served as Senior Pastor from 2016-2019. Brian has also served as the Associate Pastor at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Springfield, Ohio and as the Lead Pastor of Desert Hope Lutheran Church in Tucson, Arizona. He is currently serving as the Senior Pastor of Groveport Zion Lutheran Church in Groveport, OH. In 2023, Brian earned his Doctoral degree in Clinical Pastoral Counseling from Colorado Theological Seminary.

Rev. Dr. McGee is an ordained and rostered minister in the North American Lutheran Church (NALC) and the Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC). Brian is also a certified and licensed Pastoral Counselor through the National Christian Counselors Association (NCCA).

Brian is married to Christen and they enjoy serving the Lord together. In his free time, Brian enjoys running, hiking, reading, outdoor music festivals, wineries, and spending time with friends and family.
